I have read many books about spiritual development, and this has been my favorite so far! The author writes in a simplistic motivational way, influencing readers to live in the present moment. According to Tolle, the past and future are only illusions of time and the mind, and one must consciously live in each present moment. By living in the moment, you are able to (according to Tolle) attract all that you desire into your present life.

Throughout the book, Tolle creates meditations for the reader based on important reflections to the written material. I especially enjoyed these pauses from reading, and noticed that through my own thoughts I was able to practice living in the present moment. This book could benefit anyone who is wishing to make a change in life, or who needs direction or motivation on how to change.
I especially enjoyed chapter 8 – Enlightened Relationships. Not only does Tolle express the body-mind-spirit connection of living in the now, but focuses on empowering the reader to create the perfect relationship within their own body. This holistic health philosophy empowers readers to dissolve older negative self beliefs, and adopt healthier new ones.
I strongly encourage anyone, and everyone read this book. From a weight loss point of view, this book will help to inspire you to be more healthy, happy, confident, and sure of yourself in the present moment. It is highly recommended that my clients read this book.
