This book is absolutely amazing! Dr Elson Haas, known as
the Detox Doc, writes in a simplistic way teaching the reader
how to detoxify his or her own body and lifestyle. This easy to read and well structured book is a must read for any Nutritionist or health advocate. The chapters are structured into themes relating to detoxification, with titles like sugar detoxification, fasting and juice cleansing, and non toxic living.
The book
includes many detoxification meal plans and related recipes. Not only does Haas educate readers how to properly detoxify, but inspires readers with his published case studies from his practice.
Dr Haas is a pioneer in the detoxification world and deserves to be the expert. His writing style is easy for the non-medically trained average reader to understand. Keeping it simple and to the point, this book is a great resource guide for anyone wishing to improve their quality of life and health.
I especially enjoyed
Chapter 12 - Non Toxic Living. In this chapter Dr Haas explains the importance of
putting good quality products into and onto your body. He directly links cosmetic products, household cleaners, chlorinated water and chemical ridden clothing as factors for toxifying the body. He then suggests readers buy or create healthy cleaning alternatives, buy organic clothing, use natural mineral make-ups, and healthier skin care lines. One of his mottos is that
you should never put a onto your body what you wouldn’t ingest into your own system.
I would highly encourage anyone and everyone to read this book.
