1 cup of beverage= 1 closed fist, example: juice, milk

1 cup of dry good or vegetable = 2 hands cupped example: salad, pretzels

½ cup fruit, dry good = 1 hand cupped example: ounce nuts, berries

3 ounces of cooked meat, fish or poultry = palm of hand

1 tablespoon of sauce, spread or dressing = 2 thumbs

1 ounce of cheese = one thumb
