It's a beautiful sunny Easter Sunday. Are you excited for todays meal? Easter is one of the easiest holidays to stay on track with your weight. If you can say no to chocolate then you should shed a few pounds over this holiday. After all you've tried chocolate bunnies and cream eggs before, and already know what they taste like.

Last year I wrote an informative blog post titled, "Easter Dinner Diet Tricks".

This is the first time in 5 years that my entire family has been together for Easter. In PEI family = food, or at least that's what I've noticed. Do we use it as an excuse to please others, and is company simply a good enough excuse to overindulge? Take a moment to answer that question.

If you are going to eat a treat today, try to burn those extra calories off. Go for a family walk, bike ride or play in the yard. When I was a child, Easter was considered the start of biking season- and dad would usually take our bikes out of the basement. Ahhhh, what a great way to burn off all that energy (and hyperactivity from the chocolate).

HAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, especially to my sister Melanie and her friend Stephanie visiting Charlottetown from Toronto this long holiday weekend.
