"Health is contagious. When you’ve got it, others want it.” – Rachelle Wood

As a teenager, Rachelle Wood had a part-time job at McDonalds. This job helped her sock away a bit of spending money, but it also allowed her to indulge a bit too often in fast food, despite the fact that she was watching her mother suffer from heart disease and other medical issues. Rachelle started binge eating to deal with her suppressed emotions and was diagnosed with high cholesterol at the age of 14.  Before she knew it, her weight had ballooned to 250 pounds.

In the ultimate attempt to regain her health and change her genetic destiny, in 2001 Rachelle enrolled in the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN). She became her own first client, teaching herself the proper way to eat, resulting in a slow and steady weight loss of 100 pounds. On her first day of class, she didn’t dream that one day she’d be invited back to teach the Business Mastery component of the program at  the school’s Atlantic Canadian campuse.

Within a couple of years of starting her own practice, Rachelle was helping Islanders lose weight—a lot of weight. Word of her successful program started to spread like wildfire and her phone kept ringing with calls from individuals wanting her help to shed their unwanted pounds for once and for all. Her clients were doing so well that soon, students from her Business Mastery course started approaching her, wanting to purchase her program to use with their own clients.

The proverbial light bulb went off over her head of blond curls and Rachelle went to work with a team of software developers to launch See Results, a revolutionary online weight loss program that would not only help her own clients lose weight, but would also be resold to other nutritionists to use in their own practices. Rachelle became a pioneer in her own industry and a household name among Canadian nutritionists.

To date, this author and public educator has helped Prince Edward Islanders lose over 75,000 pounds.

Dedicated to gathering as much knowledge about natural nutrition as she possibly can to best serve her clients, Rachelle has studied several complementary therapies over the years including Psychology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Digestive Health, Reiki, Angel Therapy, and Iridology.

Rachelle is an active member of several organizations including the CSNN Alumni, CAHN-Pro  and the Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce. Rachelle volunteers her time for several causes including speaking to community groups like Women’s Network PEI and Overeaters Anonymous.

In 2009, Rachelle won the PEI Business Women’s Association’s Emerging Business Award. In 2010, she was named Canada’s Best Nutritionist and Canada’s Best Health Motivator/Educator and Personal Role Model during the first annual Best of Canada Awards for Natural Health Practitioners.  In 2011 Rachelle was awarded the prestigious BDC Young Entrepreneur Award for PEI and attended the national Gala in Saskatoon that May.

When she’s not helping others reach and maintain their weight loss goals, Rachelle can be found cooking, traveling, curled up with one of her two cats, or exploring PEI from the seat of her bike.
